Default Drug Czar

I was contacted today by the Washington D.C. Veterans Hospital where Inreceive my treatment and they want me to do a interview with Obama's Drug Czar- this is a good chance for me to speak up on the benefits of Medication Assisted Treatment. This interview will take place this Monday(Nov.10th). I'm tired of all the bad press!

Hi Jim, wow! Congratulations, that is fabulous! I know you'll teach them a thing or two because you've been such a great advocate for so many years! They couldn't have chosen a better person to ask.

Let us know how it goes. Can't wait to hear!

Default Great

Michael Bottecelli appears to be sincere in his beliefs about MAT and all the bad issues that surrounds it. I was among 6 people that talked and told our story. I liked his view and opinion that treatment beats incarceration for certain low level crimes....and that too many people with SUD are in jails and prisons. He spoke a little of his past and that he 26 years of sobriety. I spoke of a issue I detest in my home state of West Virginia: individuals that is released on parole is not allowed to participate in MAT... and on a personal level that had I not been on MAT upon release I would not be here today. I had a great day and did my best to bring awareness to Mr. Bottecelli.

That's great Jim! Hopefully that will be one more voice in the government opposed to the rationing of buprenorphine treatment. Great contact!
