Hi jillian713, welcome. Is it possible to call your insurer to see if they can help you find a provider?

Have you tried the matching system? If not, think about giving that a try and putting that you need a doctor who accepts Medicaid in the 'statement to the doctor' block.

I hope you're able to find someone soon.

Thank you Nancy. I have tried calling my provider and they didn't have a specific way of searching for this kind of Dr. Which I found crazy! I have tried the matching system and a few Dr's responded but when I called actually didn't accept Medicaid. I'm just so lost and really need help and can't find it.

Hi again, that is crazy that they can't help you find a provider. Maybe try again and see if you get someone different who might be more helpful - might be worth a try.

Have you seen this on the Suboxone site?
https://suboxone.com/patients/here_t...treatment.aspx

...You can also call 1-866-973-HERE(4373) for help connecting to a doctor in your area.

Think about giving them a call to see if they can find something?

Hi Nancy.
I have also called the suboxone help line. It's so crazy to me that Texas Medicaid doesn't offer more help. Noyes only were they rude they acting like I was crazy for calling to ask these questions. I felt judged. The people from the suboxone help line were amazing in trying to help me, gave me tons of numbers to drs they thought could help me. Unfortunatly none of them accepted my Medicaid either. I know there are drs out there who do because a few friends have medicaid also and go to drs. Ive asked who they went to so i could go too but they wouldnt tell me. Some friends huh?! Im beginning to feel defeated i dont know what else to do.

Hi jillian713, I'm so sorry that you haven't found anyone yet. I can't believe that the people at Texas Medicaid acted so rudely towards you! That's totally uncalled for. Would they be that way if you were looking for a heart doctor who took Medicaid?? grrrrrrr.

Wow, some friends is right. Any idea why they won't tell you?

I was looking at the Texas Medicaid site and there's this page is in the list of contacts for Texas Health and Human Services:
http://www.hhsc.state.tx.us/about_hh.../contact.shtml

They list calling 211 as a place to call:

"Call 2-1-1:

Dialing 2-1-1 is a free, easy way to find out about services you can get in your area or through state programs.

If you can’t connect to 2-1-1, call us toll-free at 1-877-541-7905. You can also visit the 2-1-1 Texas website to find the phone number to your local
2-1-1 Area Information Center.

You may not be able to connect to 2-1-1 if:

You are calling from outside of Texas.
Your cell phone won’t dial 2-1-1.
You use voice-over-IP (use the Internet to make calls)
"

It's worth a call. Also, maybe a pharmacist might know of someone - they fill the prescriptions, so they may be able to help.

Fingers crossed.

Nancy

It's Texas, full of politicians who think giving healthcare to the poor is socialism. I know this is old, but I would say move out of Texas. If that is not possible, then I'm not sure what you can do.
